>fight the team boss multiple times with weak mons any other game>some final battle at 6-7th gym>you beat them then they disband and are never heard from again (exception of Giovannis gym but thats still three battles with him)>go on to fight champion and become champ>BW you battle N who has a final team and legend who beat the champ Alder>after you have to battle Ghetsis the real boss at the very end and become champ that way
