My highschool had little tournaments after classes around once a week. Most people who played HGSS were pretty bad at competitive play- there were a handful, however, that were really well-known for being good, myself included.
We all had our own signature Pokemon- most were legendaries. I was the only one to use something post gen 2. My signature Pokemon was Rampardos, and people always joked that whenever I used it, something would 'go extinct'.
