>>41607033It's okay, but it definitely doesn't like it took advantage of the Switch's capabilities. The gym leaders are cool and I like a lot of the new mons, and some areas (Ballonlea/Glimwood Tangle in particular) look nice. but everything after the 3rd gym badge just starts to feel very rushed.
The Wild Area had potential to be amazing but the entire thing is open to you from the moment you get to it with no meaningful landmarks or optional things to do, and there's only one in the entire game. Lack of any postgame content also hurts singleplayer.
It's not entirely awful, it could've just been...entirely better.
