I liked Megas, and it's why I'll probably just keep playing the previous games. Mega Evolutions felt less like a gimmick and more like an expansion to the roster. While Z-Moves are part of Alola's culture, and Dynamax is tied to Galar League, Megas have appeared across multiple games, remakes, spin-offs and mobile titles as basically being part of a Pokemon's identity. Pokken, Super Smash Bros., Masters, Shuffle, even Let's GO all use them as a Pokemon's super form. Removing them at this point is like removing any other form from the game.
And I love how Dynamax has been paraded around as a "balanced mechanic" and "for everyone", but then G-Max throws that out the window for Not!Mega forms who have Z-Moves baked in.
