You'll get some of that EXP from sleeping sure, but that's still about 2k candy you need to get five BFS Feraligatr rolling.
You could alternatively put those resources into two level 50 Feraligatr.
Whilst that doesn't produce as much strength as five level 30 Feraligatr, you likely have good stuff you can use in the other three spaces.
Just something to think about when you have limited resources.
