Dude, seriously, seems like you and your friends have no idea. They should totally make A WHOLE 3DS GAME of the Pokemon TCG, they could do and it would sell millions... or at least I would buy it. And play it more than the mainstream games, for real.
In other words, having the Pokemon TCG inside a mainstream Pokemon game is like having 2 fully exploitable games with such a rich meta in 1. Too good for it to actually ever happen.
