I can see that you tried making it seem like a clown, but apart from clown nightmares, I can't see why those two would be related.
Pic related is how I combined the dreamcatcher with an animal that also has a round disc attached to it. I know I've seen other approaches to the concept, although birds in general are workable given how feathers aren't uncommon on dreamcatchers.
