"Weeeeell... obviously the implications of such research on the intrinsic value of a human life and the concept of mortality are staggering, and there's no telling what kind of private and military applications that sort of device could have."
Once it fizzles out, she switches back into her normal ego, "But then I 'member that, without 'em, Poppy'd 've gotten 'imself killed for good a looong time ago... an' that makes it all okay to me!~"
Chople breathes a sigh of relief, "That's good to hear. See, there are a lot of people out there that don't necessarily agree with what my parents are doing."
"Whaaaaa? What could 'bee 'wron' with livin' forever-and-ever-and-ever?~"
Chople looks out the window at the scenery below, "Well for starters, like I said, it's a very controversial matter. As far as ethics go, they think that it's wrong to genetically clone a Pokemon with the intention of making that Pokemon better. I suppose the entire debacle is similar to abortion in that aspect."
Alice scoots closer, "People are 'arder to gen than pokey-dokies, right?~"
"That's correct. My parents have yet to find a stable method of duplicating humans. It's certainly possible, but there are numerous errors in the equation that if detected, can potentially erase both a Control and their clone from existence. The only thing we're sure that works in is Pokemon, their data is, ironically enough, less complicated to work with."
"Ooooh, so that's why they gave poppy munnies earlier!~"
"Exactly, he's a guinea pig for the system. I'll admit that he's being very brave. The risks are high, I certainly wouldn't do such a thing on my own."
"Yeah!~ Poppy's headstrong like that!"
She scoots even closer.
"You'll take care of 'im, right?~"
A) "I'll be sure to try my best."
B) "No promises or guarantees."
C) "He seems like the type of person invulnerable to full death."
