The memory book is what makes the big difference imo; it's an OOC/narrator with a stick that constantly beats the bot back in line. I've included my own shitty lazy book in picrel, inspired by that guide someone posted a thread or two back. I know it's autistically written, no bully, it's doing its job just fine for my flavor of the week.
The last two lines get updated as needed with the [current time/place] as we go. The first paragraph is basic specs I want it to constantly keep in mind. Basically the order is most universal to most immediate for organizational purposes.
As far as its writing style, not sure how important the sample chat and defs are; the former is just a couple short kino paragraphs from an old cai coom session, the latter copied from aisekai. The first half of this chat, I would generate 2-3 replies and mash the best bits together in one big post; now it seems to have picked up the pattern and I often don't need to regenerate for creativity or length reasons (though it sometimes cuts off and needs to 'generate more' once or twice to get it all out.) Every now and then it seems to 'plan' and sets up for something by giving me a short, one/two sentence response, and when I play along, it tends to vault into something lengthy and spicy, which I really like.
But it's still dumber than cai and makes dopy syntax/situational errors that need to be cleaned up.
