>>49047919So much went wrong with mega evolution. There's no reason anything over 530 BST needed one, besides excuses for filler, endgame bosses in X/Y and ORAS. So many Pokémon that people rag on nowadays *ahem* Cacturne *ahem* really needed redemption with some kind of limited use forme, and GF opted for more forms for more people's favorite Pokémon. I wouldn't have even minded mega evolution if stuff like the pseudos, legendaries and primal forms weren't prioritized. At least in Go, they're not as incentivized while still being fun to use so I can pretend like my favorite megas still matter without them getting hated on (whenever they add them).
