It is basically just FireRed but with a bunch of pallet swapped Fakemon with new typings to their real counterparts. Game starts off with having quirky parody dialogue but I guess the creator gave up on the idea because it disappears early into the game. Also includes fakemon from Johto and Hoenn mons, so there is that too.
I guess if you really wanted to replay FRLG but wanted to play a version of it with a different dex, then go for it.
There really isn't much else to it than that. I feel like I am the only person on this board who played it.
