I consider my relationship with my parents to be pretty good. It's not great, since I voluntarily try to keep my distance as I dislike the idea of feeling like I depend on them too much, but we still get along very well. I like so many things that aren't really common, but they just don't care. They leave me be with the things I like and so do I with their interests.
I bet if I told them I like Pokemon, they'd be surprised at first since they probably don't even know that, at least not for sure. And I'm fine with it being that way.
