The not-mafia's dealings were shady and mysterious, and growing up in a wop household they were also instantly relatable even as a little shit. Archie and Maxie's feud was memorable in the sense that it raised the stakes considerably, it wasn't about illegal business activities but messing with the forces of nature. I remember being amazed at the big finale because I didn't think things would escalate the way they did, fully expecting things to stay somewhat grounded by the rules of reality like they did with Team Rocket.

I remember eagerly watching events unfolding, then being blown away by the eventual reveal of Cyrus's plan and the climax of the arc. Galactic is pretty stupid when you break down their motivations from an adult perspective but to a little retard with a big imagination the whole setup and eventual payoff was captivating and amazing.
