How do people feel about romhacks that have catchable starters in the wild? I remember playing Pokémon Saffron and seeing Mudkip in the wild and going nuts. However, before the "ending," my team had 3 starters on it (not counting the Eevee you start off with). However, it made me go for my favorites early on instead of trying to cobble together a team from what I got.
In general, do you prefer if romhacks give you a huge selection of Pokemon early? Are there certain types that you think shouldn't be discovered early (eg pseudos, certain typings, etc.)?
