The one singular thing it has was that it was the first Pokemon in Gen IV to be distributed in a Cherish Ball because of a promotion with the Japanese TV program, Pokemon Sunday, but even then it's hard to call that very special because it wasn't the first event Pokemon in Gen IV and every mon after came in a Cherish Ball anyway so it's likely Tropius had nothing to do with it
