I thought that the UBs having "normal" life cycles unlike regular Pokemon was a pretty neat touch. It really lends to the alien/ invasive species theming since pokemon normally come from eggs. If it counts, I also liked that Solgaleo and Lunala ended up as just the male and female forms of a species of really strong dimension hopping pokemon instead of nebulous gods of something.
