As a last minute save, Serena tosses out Helioptile, "Heli, heli, heliop!" the highly-trained lizard stands before Serena with a defensive snarl.
It's a known fact that birds hate electricity, right?
Realizing that the child isn't going to be like taking candy from a babby, Articuno charges up an Ice Beam, to which Serena retaliates with an attack of her own.
"Helioptile, Parabolic Charge."
"Heeeeeeeliop!" the lizard's frills open up, unleashing a charge of electricity that hits Articuno before Ice Beam can. Although it does super-effective damage, his status as a legendary is too OP for it to be any significant.
"AARRRTIC!"
Articuno quickly changes tactics, using Mind Reader next. Putting his mind at ease, he predicts Helioptile's next movements, and quickly drafts a plan of attack.
"Thunderbolt."
"HEEELIIOOOP!"
The lizard unleashes another blast of electricity, but this time the shocking volts are dodged by Articuno, taking Serena by surprise.
"Don't give up, keep using it, don't let him take you off-guard."
"Heeeeliop!"
Thunderbolts fly left and right like a rampaging storm, but Articuno dodges each and every one of them with relative ease. Finally, he flies directly over Helioptile, and his next move seals the lizard's fate.
