I've been trying to go in at times before tournaments more often in the hopes of trading, but it's hard when they're all so focused on preparing for the tournament. Also they mostly seem to just be looking for meta-viable cards. And it's hard for me to really get into the atmosphere since I don't actually play. I'm starting to put together my first deck just for the sake fitting in better and making trades.
Anyway, just force yourself to initiate some trading, at least a little tiny bit each time. It's a pokemon gathering. Chances are they're either at least as autistic with you, or they're used to dealing with people as autistic as you.
