I have a few questions as an archivist to British Pokemon players. I would greatly appreciate help. The questions relate to the release of Pokemon Emerald.
1. When Pokemon Emerald released in the UK, did any large retailers that sold video games offer any preorder bonuses (e.g GAME, Gamestation, Woolworth's, Gameplay,
play.com etc...). I know that R/S and FR/LG both got preorder bonuses in the UK, so it would be odd for Emerald to be left out. I know the USA received the Battle Frontier tin, but there is little information about the UK.
2. Do you recall there being any adverts about Pokemon Emerald in the UK on Television? (Probably channels like Nick, Nick Jr, Cartoon Network, Toonami, UK Gold etc...). If so can you describe the advert? Even XD Gale Of Darkness got adverts on TV in the UK, so i would be surprised if Emerald didn't.
