>>52321970It's not necessarily impossible per se, for something like a render it's perfectly possible. Having an animated figure is where things get tricky, because ideally a good 3d model will look decent from every angle. An illustration does not have that limitation, there's no need to ensure the character look good from every angle simply because there is no angles.
Once more, a good 3d modeler will make transition as smooth as possible to the point it's hard to tell there's even differences
Pic related, just as an example. For a turnaround of the character to be consistent with the image on the right the nose should be as outlined in the middle, less spaced eyes etc, but since it's an illustration it doesn't need to be fully proportionate, and thus it follows the line of the left
If this character was modeled this would have to be taken into consideration, as it should not be 100% accurate to the way she's drawn but rather in a way that makes her look consistent in all angles
