As intended, Red and Green are complete experiences and Blue and Yellow add nothing of substance to that. Trading has always been part of the spirit of the game, it's only a recent phenomenon where GF has gone out of their way to make that more difficult. Before then, they were perfectly willing to make it easier on players.
