As a long time Pokemon fan, I've always wondered something. Why don't Pokemon games have multiple save files? One of the best things about Pokemon is that you can restart the game, use a different team and it will feel like a completely new adventure. However there's no way of restarting your game without losing all your current progress. If you want to keep your current Pokemon, you have to have access to two consoles and two copies of the game.
Pokemon Bank sort of remedied this by allowing you to store your Pokemon online, but they also introduced mega stones that generation and you can't store items with Pokemon Bank. So if you traded the exclusive mega stones from another game, you can't really carry them over to your next game (unless you have two consoles and two copies of the game).
