Alright anons, I've got another thread question for you all.
>You are given the means to make a Pokemon crossover/spin-off in the vein of one of your other favorite games. Which game is it and how would it play?>>50341412Of my 3 games I would pick Ragnarok Online. It's an MMORPG with expanding class trees like Novice -> Swordsman -> Knight or Crusader, which I would change to suit Pokemon trainer class specialization with class-based skills and bonuses. A Bug Catcher could have passive bonuses like higher damage with bugs, better catch rate on them, etc. There's already a system setup to control pets/homunculi in battle, and they have their own skills (Pokemon moves) to learn as they level up. Additionally, there's a card system in place for all monsters with specific effects like -30% damage from Fish monsters, which could easily be changed to Water type Pokemon, etc. MVP/Boss monsters spawn in fields and dungeons and could be replaced with legendary Pokemon, and regular field monsters could be replaced with the other Pokemon (with evolved/stronger Pokemon harder to catch). There's also a PvP and GvG system, so you could battle each other in addition to the monsters.
>Make your character and get a starter Pokemon>Level up on low level mobs in fields/dungeons>At job level 10, choose your first class and unlock the ability to catch more>As your base level goes up, you unlock more spots for Pokemon in your party and battle with one out at a time. Different Pokemon can fill different roles even in the same type (Vaporeon can be a tank while Swampert specializes in AoE moves)>As your job level goes up, you get points to put in skills like Water Specialist (Increases Water-type move damage by x% per level)>Become a type specialist, ranger, whatever you want>Make a guild/clan for your friends to party together, hunt bosses and battle others for dominanceLet me hear your own ideas.
