As a matter of fact, why are Repel an item when it can just be an option in the menus? Wouldn't that be easier than buying a limited quantity of items with your limited money you could be spending on something more useful? Or being afraid to use items because you're saving them for when they're important, but never finding the right time? The latter is an incredibly common problem in RPGs.
