I dont personally think "fushigidane" when I see bulbasaur, but I do think "dodaitose" anytime I see torterra because I played through gen 4 in japanese like 6 months before they came out and got used to the names.
I wouldnt care about using english or japanese, except in case the english names arent real. Converting them to english versions of the names isnt how most pokemon names are decided when they get english releases also, so imo that doesnt really work either.
Keeping some in of them fake or english and some japanese (kotora/raitora) is inconsistent. Whatever option you go with, it should be consistent. The japanese option just happens to be all weve got as far as legitimacy goes.
