>>15703592Yeah, I'm the same way, although sometimes I feel I take it to a silly degree (for instance Roxie doesn't like coffee, but when she's out with her band mates she'll drink it over tea because she thinks they'll make fun of her, I know her top 5 favorite bands and the musicians that inspire her the most, and she doesn't really watch TV but will watch movies with Rosa sometimes). I don't really feel it helps me get into the setting, but the more you know a character the easier it is to get into their head when you're writing. It's the difference between predicting what a friend would do compared to what an acquaintance would do.
