i wanted to make a Magikarp with almost perfect EVs in Pokehex so i caught one, opened up pokehex and hit the "randomize" until I saw something decent
then I edited it until i had 510 total
but for some reason when my magikarp hit level 20 to evolve the game constantly got stuck in the "evolving" screen with music playing
i found out you can't completely use up all 510 EVs or else your pokemon wont evolve, so i removed a few so 480 was left, and THEN it was able to evolve
i dont know much about IVs and EVs i just thought big number means better stat but is this common knowledge?
is it safe to use up all 510 now that its fully evolved?
