>Gym LeaderGym leader Guru is an ex-martial artist that meditated for three years under a waterfall after a bad break up. He contemplated love so long under the falls that he developed the psychic ability to see an individual’s perfect match. He uses these powers to give psychic readings to singles looking for their perfect match, couples looking for comparability readings, etc in a traditional matchmaker themed gym. He is stern, loud and yells a lot in a way that shakes the gyms walls. He's VERY serious about matchmaking.
> The GymThe gym is a temple located in the middle of the city. It is covered with heart shaped lanterns and filled with the sound of intense pokemon battles. The front room is a festival-esque space where couples and singles wait for the Guru to come and offer his services.
Behind this room is the gym, which consists of five rooms that go into one another in a straight line. Once the player enters the gym s/he is struck with a headache. The gym guide explains it as the guru giving a bit of his powers to the player so they can complete the gym's puzzle.
The gym's puzzle is a match-making game. Two squares sit in the middle of the room with a trainer on one and no one on the other. Fifteen other trainers fill the room. The player has to listen to the trainer on the square describe their connection with their boyfriends/girlfriend/husband/wife and then use the info to find them amongst the other trainers in the room. As the player walks through the room, they get "feelings" that the trainer that completes the couple is nearby.
When the player thinks they found the right match they put the character on the square next to the gym trainer. If the match is wrong, a woobat swoops down and battles the character. If the match is correct, the player has to fight the "Cosmic Couple" before proceeding to the next room. Gym leader Guru waits in the 5th room.
