I keep thinking this season would be a bit better if it had started with a time skip, ash doesn’t need to be an adult just 15 would be fine, like he keeps up his champ title for 5 years and gets invited to enter the ranking system making him want to travel again, then gets hired by sakuragi and the rest of the show can go on as it is right now with small design changes, all legendary reseach and visiting old friends would have a bit more impact if we knew how long it’s been in universe
