This happens every time death is alluded to or something vaguely sad happens. I've yet to see anything in the franchise more alarming than what you'd see in any western television series or movie.
Heck for me personally the entire franchise is leagues below Land Before Time, a G-rated film for tiny children, when it comes to dark or painful themes.
It's not BAD, it's entirely good that pokemon is light hearted but whats with clickbaity vids acting like dossiers explaining that animals eat each other are somehow some insane feat of dark brutality.
To put this into perspective, the single darkest subject I've seen addressed in a product aimed for children is sexual harassment ct-(iCarly "iPear store").
Pokemon isn't remotely near that upsetting or harsh, such things don't even exist in the pokemon world, why are there people insistent that there's underlying horrors?
