That was close, man.
I think I overground on the way to Opelucid City, but it seems to have paid off.
Drayden led with Zweilous, which Antlion quickly dispatched with a Dragon Claw.
Gladius with his Punches of Ice quickly eliminated Altaria and Flygon without breaking a sweat.
Wishing to keep Gladius in top form, I sent out Antlion against Druddigon. Antlion's speed let it get off a solid Dragon Claw...which left Druddigon with 1 HP. I freaked out a little bit.
Druddigon readied it's Outrage. It aimed and...MISSED. Antlion proceeded to Dragon Claw its eyes out.
Then, it was Haxorus time.
I wanted to try to tank it. I sent out Gordo, who I had gotten too bored to grind to level 60 back on Route 13. I started to Stockpile some defenses that I could hopefully use to slowly wear down Haxorus while healing intermittently. Haxorus's first attack was Outrage...
Which was strengthened by a Dragon Gem
And Criticaled.
Gordo's HP began to sink, and fast. 200...100...50...
It's a day full of 1HP. Gordo weathered the hit with 1 HP. I quickly threw some Hyper Potion in his direction, and I began to solidify his defenses.
I had gotten 3 Stockpiles before Drayden got cheeky. Haxorus used Dragon Tail, flinging Gordo out of the battle, but not before being severely weakened and paralyzed by Body Slam.
Flicker was drug out. I picked Shadow Ball, and hoped for the best. Haxorus pulled an Earthquake out of its ass, leaving Flicker with 17HP to spare. The ensuing Shadow Ball wiped Haxorus out, and thus ended a nerve-racking battle.
