Great idea OP, I get it because it's like a dragon (draco) but in sand, it's kind of a bit too creative with the draco part though, better to use a less creative word like dragon, and call it sandragon.
Kinda like this guy, if I were to give him a name that lacks creativity I'd name him sandile.
