I guess you could make a strong argument for new evolutions and shit but idk. I wish they would had kept the 251 and their Gen2 move sets. Idk fuck abilities, natures, gender forms etc. They could even dump EV's & IV's.
Honestly, yeah, keep it at the original 251 but instead of SS&HG it shoulda been Conscious Crystal with no version exclusive mons, add in the RBY omittions like Dome & Helix fossils. The remaining starter from R&B should had still been at Oak's lab, it should had been whatever the weakness was to your starter. Mew shoulda been put under the truck, Kanto shouldnt have been unsquished. Make Kanto legendary birbs obtainable. As for Mewtwo have him return to Unknown Dungeon after you defeat Red. Also Celebi event should be built in. King's Rock and Metal Coat need more availability post game.
