>>47159465Personally, I would interpret those trainer classes as ranks instead of counterparts. Karate King / Black Belt is the highest rank and all trainers with that class encountered are adults. Battle Girls in earlier games don't wear belts because they're wearing clothing which suggests that they aren't karate practitioners. But the Battle Girls in XY, which is the game this reference comes from, Battle Girls are all white belts, the lowest karate rank and use art that makes them look like children. This leads me to believe that it's both a joke because it's unexpected and a joke because the implication is that she had cosmetic surgery to become a model / pretty in general.
