Considering that he didn't even talk to his parent in literal years, let alone all the neglect before that, he must've been trying to get along by himself for a long ass time. He's extremely well adjusted and disciplined for how fucked up his live used to be as a kid. He cooks for himself, he cleans every day, he's got an ironing board in his room etc. Only thing he was kinda fucking up was school, apparently. But still, it's impressive how he doesn't rely on anyone but himself, yet holds up so well. So yes, it's unironically a good aspiration to want to be like him.
