>>44897173As far as I'm concerned, only gen 1 and 3 have mons worth their existence overall. 2 and 4, as you said are just evos, 5 is gen 1: 2 electric boogaloo and everything 6+ is over designed or too far away from the pokemon aesthetic to be comparable. 4+ have too many legendary/mythicals.
1 and 3 are GOAT. Overall. Yes exceptions exist.
