Hey guys, it's ficanon again. So, I've been taking a look at the Pearlshipping doujin being posted, both in translation and looking ahead in Japanese (so I can make sure I don't accidentally copy anything), and...oof. My heart started sinking a bit haha. It turns out Sungyeah and I had a lot of similar ideas, especially in some stuff I had planned for later. I wasn't aware of this doujin until it started getting translated here a few days back, but now, looking at it, I'm feeling really iffy. I know it probably can't be helped since there's only so much you can do plot-wise with Dawn and a Doubles Contest story with a dash of shipping, and I know I've tried not to be that on the nose about the shipping in mine (whereas that doujin really lays it on thick), but I'm kinda feeling a bit of imposter syndrome right now and it sucks. Just want you guys to know in advance, just in case you get the wrong idea as I continue.
And of course, translateranon, don't take this as a means of getting you to stop. Keep going, because I am enjoying your work a lot, as well as a lot of people here.
