Cursola loses the rock-like defense for a ghostly body so I assume GF just felt like keeping with gen 8's simple monotype trend and not doing something like having Corsola be rock/ghost and then lose the rock typing as Cursola
One could kinda make the same case for Galarian Farfetch'd where even though the leek may be heavy, both of its wings aren't full at all times so it could still feasibly be part flying
