I've always taken care of this particular part of owning a Switch, as I'd heard of people getting their Switches scratched before buying it. After 20 months ownership I can confidently say the docks do not randomly decide to scratch your Switch, but rather giving less than care and attention to placing it in the dock that does. Deflecting from your own lack of care by pretending the hardware decided randomly to damage your unit is laughable.
