Might as well be nice and tell you what happened.
Last year right after the Mega Evolutions were first shown in CoroCoro's Biggest Scoop of the Century, our beloved merchandise site AAPF (All About Pokemon Figures) posted a trademark list of Pokemon that was first trademarked back in 2012 around BW2' release. That list contained every single Mega Pokemon that we know of now. Then, a few weeks later, a few more trademarks were discovered and they were for the same list but with new Pokemon: Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Kecleon, Sceptile, Minun, Plusle, Jynx, Latios, and Latias. When X&Y were released and no one found the Latios and Latias Mega Stones, they all thought the list was bullshit even though it had every other Mega Pokemon right. However, just two months later, smealum found code for Volcanion, Hoopa, Diancie, and motherfucking Mega Latios and Latias. Those reveals alone proved that the list was legit and the rest of the Pokemon, being Hoenn Pokemon (except Jynx) are planned for a Hoenn Remake and the list alone was one of the most important evidence for why Hoenn would eventually be Confirmed. The list is still up on AAPF even though AAPF hasn't updated since November.
