>>52980784Really the only other move it could have learned that was worthwhile is Stomp. STAB moves used to be special, starters were good because they got them in abundance. It was much more common to be almost all Normal moves. This was a kind of balance that made Normal types worthwhile for getting STAB so easily, but it wasn't as fun so they moved away from it.
