I know we've already talked about Guzma and his dad before but have we brought up the parallel between Guzma and his Golisopod? I think it also contributes to that discussion.
I've been wondering if it was intended for us to draw parallels between Wimpod/Golisopod and Guzma himself. First, let's have a look at Wimpod's ability Wimp Out: When the Pokémon's Hit Points hit 50% or less, the Pokémon will switch out. Then, let's see Golisopod's ability Emergency Exit: When the Pokémon's Hit Points hit 50% or less, the Pokémon will switch out. Of course, we should all know by now that Guzma's favorite Pokemon is Golisopod. This information, in conjunction with knowing about Guzma's house on Route 2, straight up tells us that Guzma was abused as a child. I don't know if there were people still around that deny it but that's my contribution...
