FRLG feels somehow more outdated, maybe because how bad gen3 sprites are compared to gen 4
RBY actually feels like an classic RPG and I like 8 bit graphics and music more
GBA has bad soundchip which makes gym leader battle sound bad
Level up moves in RBY are bad but you can get infinite TM's and other items with missigno glitch, so you actually get your team better moveset than FRLG
I don't know if it is just me, but FRLG feels slower than RBY
Also RBY has superior Pokemon Stadium spin-off
You can also trade to gen2 to get intresting movesets like elemental punches to Alakazam, Gengar ect.
RBY also has fun glitches so you can catch any pokemon like Mew
