laverre city in x/y? beautiful autumn town. so nice. that coastal city where you talk to the guy and he plays sinnoh music? kino. best looking cities in any pokemon game
both of these games nail these aesthetics of these cities.
but who cares who fucking cares about these cities. it feels fake and artificial because the way the map is laid out. like again it feels like a themepark. im looking at a themepark map now im in autumn city, disneyland. none of these npcs are charming and just say random shit. who gives a fuck about these football players and tennis players in nimbasa?? they're like animatronics.
look at this shitty map of hoenn i pieced together. look at how fucking natural of a progression that path from mauville to fortree is.
so fucking sexy. no fucking plasma goons telling you to go the other way. just water that naturally says you can't go here yet. no fucking cinematic bullshit with signs that says YOU ARE NOW GOING TO THIS EPIC AREA WITH A TREETOP VILLAGE. no you just fucking get there naturally and see some homes and occasional buildings on the way there.
