This is absolutely retarded, the whole reason for mega evos is so that regular 'mons have the potential to equel and in many cases become even more powerful than legendary pokemon in order to balance said legendaries out.
Now that pretty much every legendary and it's mother is starting to get it's own mega evo there's no point in using regular pokemon....
It worked for Mewtwo because he's supposed to the "the" most powerful pokemon.
