The scientific name for the dragonfly, sympetrum flaveolum, makes no reference to dragons. In French, the dragonfly is called a libellule while the dragon is called a dragon. In German, the dragon is called drachen, but the dragonfly is called the libelle. No reference to dragons. Other European languages such Dutch, Danish, and Polish make no references to dragons when it comes to dragonflies. It's only in English that such an association is made. Even in Japanese, no reference to dragons. The dragonfly is called the tonbo while a dragon is just called a dragon. It makes no sense to any other speaker of a foreign language for Yanmega to be bug/dragon.
