Mayfags, Dawnfags, Irisfags, Korrinafags, SMGirlsfags and Koharufags all have the common sense to not play the high ground of moral purity.
Only Mistyfags and Serenafags are on that one train of stubbornness, which is mostly carried by either Nostalgia or the generic Tropes, respectively. HOWEVER, with the character delevopment that all the poke girls that they have gotten past OG, they are more reliant to learn based on their own mishaps or mistakes.
Both Misty and Serena had grown in direct opposites of one disposition:
Misty who went solo purely on that stubbornness to prove her demeaning sisters wrong, unironically deflecting that same energy on Ash if the situation calls for it, but ultimately learns to value the help or company of others, hence the short frustration of her in the end of season 5 with the journey abruptly ending for her by her sisters lack of commitment to the gym position, not ideally forcing her into the semi-state of her starting-hole with the few outputs of Ash's mother, Tracy and Professor Oak.
