Didn't expect this. Thanks man. Holy crap.
First stage is fucking perfect, and it doesn't look like Oshawott anymore. The squished head is a genius move. The middle stage's tiny feet/big torso looks a bit weird though. Final stage is an interesting take. It looks a bit muscular.
Here's what I did so far. Added legs to the middle stage, looks good. Experimented a bit and put its 'old tail' on the rest of the 'discarded seal fur' on its head like some sort of ponytail. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it though.
The new final evolution isn't that different but there were a few touches here and there that helped it a lot. One thing that sets it apart from your take I think is yours is closer to a real human shape while mine is a bit sleeker and closer to the animal side. It looks a bit more mysterious which fits the Fairy typing.
But in any case, shit your art is fantastic, you've got Sugimori's style down perfectly. How'd you do the lineart? I once tried doing Sugimori-style art myself but I never got it to look good.
