I think for me the best one has gotta be the Switch era
I consider the mainline Switch games the worst in general, although it had some peaks like Legends
But the spin-off department is by far the best. In general things I always wanted from this series became all true during this era. And the animes are also some of the best so far
Mostly the online play with Unite and Pokken which makes this era the most fun for me
