The color schemes, typings, gimmicks, they all are clearly still there. It's just making them less humanoid, cartoony, etc. That Intelleon is still so obviously Intelleon but shaped more like an actual basilisk lizard, I can see how the Emboar or Rhyperior designs could charge on four legs even if they can stand up and smack you on two, etc. I can see them as actual wild creatures - and yet still also 100% "Emboar" the wrestling pig and "Rhyperior" the tank-rhino. I'd say this Incineroar redesign is in the same level where just making it more like the animal it's based off of while keeping the colors, gimmick, even (mostly) proportions the same.
